Our Mission

Angel Eyes Literacy Academy (AELA) mission is to empower students with dyslexia, learning differences, and other academic challenges through specialized therapy and individualized, evidence-based instruction. We are committed to creating a nurturing learning environment that builds confidence, inspires a love of learning, and equips every student with the skills needed to achieve lasting success in literacy and mathematics.

Who We Serve

Founded in 2010 and formally established in 2022, Angel Eyes Literacy Academy (AELA) was created to address the growing need for high-quality, individualized academic intervention in the post-pandemic learning landscape. We serve students in grades 2–6 who have dyslexia, dyscalculia, specific learning disabilities (SLD), other learning differences, or academic skill gaps that impact their confidence and achievement.

Through personalized instruction, evidence-based practices, and a supportive learning environment, we help students strengthen their reading, writing, math, and language skills while building the confidence they need to succeed both in school and beyond.

Our Services

• Dyslexia Therapy

• Reading Intervention

• Specialized Math Intervention

Dyslexia Therapy & Structured Literacy Support

AELA supports students identified with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), including dyslexia, through specialized therapeutic intervention designed to meet each student’s unique learning needs. Our individualized, multisensory instruction is delivered by a trained Academic Language Therapist, using evidence-based practices that build confidence and literacy success.

AELA’s Structured Literacy Intervention also supports students with other reading difficulties through explicit, systematic instruction in phonology, decoding, spelling, morphology, syntax, and reading comprehension. Our approach is grounded in the Science of Reading and designed to help students develop strong foundational literacy skills and achieve academic growth.

Reading Intervention

AELA's Reading Intervention program provides individualized, evidence-based instruction designed to help struggling readers build the foundational skills needed for lifelong reading success. Whether a student is experiencing difficulty with decoding, fluency, vocabulary, or reading comprehension, our targeted intervention addresses each learner's unique needs through explicit, systematic instruction.

Using a structured literacy approach grounded in the Science of Reading, we identify skill gaps through ongoing assessment and develop a personalized learning plan that targets the root cause of reading difficulties—not just the symptoms. Lessons are engaging, multisensory, and carefully sequenced to help students develop strong decoding skills, improve reading fluency, expand vocabulary, and strengthen comprehension.

Our goal is not only to help students become proficient readers but also to foster confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of reading. As students experience success, they gain the skills and self-assurance needed to thrive in the classroom and beyond.

Reading Intervention may include support in:

  • Phonemic Awareness
  • Phonics and Decoding
  • Reading Fluency
  • Vocabulary Development
  • Reading Comprehension
  • Multisyllabic Word Reading
  • Spelling and Encoding
  • Written Language Skills

Whether your child is behind grade level, needs additional support, or simply requires individualized instruction to reach their full potential, Angel Eyes Literacy Academy is committed to helping every reader grow—one step at a time.

Specialized Math Intervention

At Angel Eyes Literacy Academy, our Specialized Math Intervention program provides individualized, evidence-based instruction to help students develop a strong foundation in mathematical thinking and problem-solving. We support students who struggle with foundational math skills, dyscalculia, learning differences, or academic skill gaps by identifying their unique strengths and areas of need through ongoing assessment.

Using explicit, systematic instruction, we help students build conceptual understanding before moving to procedural fluency. Lessons are carefully designed to strengthen number sense, computation, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving while promoting confidence and reducing math anxiety. Each student receives a personalized learning plan that targets specific skill gaps and provides the support needed to achieve meaningful, lasting progress.

Our goal is to help students develop the knowledge, strategies, and confidence to succeed in mathematics both in the classroom and in everyday life.

Specialized Math Intervention may include support in:

  • Number Sense and Place Value
  • Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division
  • Math Fact Fluency
  • Fractions, Decimals, and Measurement
  • Problem-Solving Strategies
  • Mathematical Vocabulary
  • Multi-Step Word Problems
  • Mathematical Reasoning
  • Executive Function and Organization for Math
  • Dyscalculia Support

Whether your child needs additional support, targeted intervention, or instruction to close learning gaps, Angel Eyes Literacy Academy provides the personalized guidance needed to help every learner build a strong mathematical foundation.

Building Confident Mathematicians, One Step at a Time.

Individualized Instruction

All services are delivered in a one-to-one (1:1) setting, either online or in person. Each student receives an Individualized Learning Plan (ILP) aligned to their IEP goals and informed by diagnostic data. Instruction targets identified skill deficits using structured, evidence-based literacy and academic interventions, with ongoing progress monitoring to measure growth over time.

Our Learning Environment

AELA provides a quiet, supportive, and low-stress learning environment designed to reduce anxiety and support attention, allowing students to focus, build confidence, and achieve academic success outside of the traditional classroom setting.
